MY05 Lakeshore Slate Coupe

Hello,
My name is Greg and now own a MY05 G35 coupe 5AT in Lakeshore Slate Blue.

The car came with some cosmetic modifications:
-lowered on Tiens
-tinted glass
-front clears
-plasti-dipped 19" OEM Sport wheels (Rays)
-plasti-dipped grille
-25mm spacers front and rear

I removed the Tiens (they were installed w/o a camber kit so the alignment was way off and the tires unevenly worn out). In my view the car is low enough stock. Plus I'm tall and probably not as young as most of you!

I also removed the plasti-dipped Rays & disposed of the old tires. I'll remove the dip and return the Rays to stock eventually...just hoping the dip isn't hiding a bunch of curb rash. Replaced the wheels with some 18" 350Z Anniversaries on Direzza DZ102s after a wheel alignment.

I will likely remove the dip from the grille at some point.

The spacers will stay - I like the look.

I don't mind the clears but the seals are gone as moisture has gotten inside.

The tint will stay for now...I don't know the % and I think it looks decent but want to avoid tickets so we'll see how that goes.

Interior is a light taupe leather which I much prefer to black.

87,xxx KMs (around 54,xxx miles).

I'm hunting for a Sirius Satellite Tuner to mount in my trunk (p/n 28051-CR910) if anyone has one kicking about...let me know!

This is my first Infiniti but I owned a Nissan D21 pickup for many years. It remains in the family & the odometer is approaching 500,000 KMs. Here's to longevity!

Cheers
Greg

That's a really good looking coupe. Nice find.

There is a unit meant to plug directly into the SAT hookup and then be ran to your phone up front... But I can't remember exactly what it is.

I'd keep the Rays big guy, nice forged lightweight wheel.

Welcome to the forum, Greg! Nice to have you here. Your Coupe looks beautiful and you're doing great job on it. Lots of good information on here to play with. If you ever have any questions, there's definitely a great team of owners and vendors that are happy to help.

Satellite Radio

Picked up an NOS satellite radio kit for my G35 coupe last week, installed it today, transferred my account to the new radio and voila! Back in biz! In my old car I used a Starmate portable since my car was at least a decade older than cars pre-wired for Sat radio so it's nice to listen to unmodulated sound and to change the stations using the steering wheel controls. Love the steering wheel controls!

The kit actually came with the whole harness in case the car didn't come pre-wired for Sat. My car did come pre-wired so no need for the extra cable. From what I've read, some G35 coupes in 2003 didn't come pre-wired. I'd sell the harness if anyone is interested...PM me.

Anyway glad I don't have to listen to all the yappy radio talk any more on my commute!
