Picked up a G35 sedan
Hi everyone, just recently a friend of mine who owned a 03 5AT G35 sedan in Emerald Mist decided to buy a new car. He originally planned on trading the car in to the dealer he was purchasing from, I was casually looking to get something a little more comfortable as a DD so he offered me his G35 at $500 over what it got appraised for. Needless to say I was happy to do the deal as he offered it to me at a very fair price and the car is in good mechanical condition, but it could use a bit of cosmetic work, nothing major however.
My previous car was a Acura 1.6 EL with a B16 and S4C gearbox, so a big, soft, heavy-ish automatic sedan has taken some getting used to compared my old car. It's a welcome change though, except for the gas mileage but you can't have it all right? I would love to pick up a S2000 or DC2, EK9 or DC5 Type-R one day though.
This is going to be a DD so I don't have any crazy plans but I would like to get the hood hinges fixed, replace the windshield, find a set of OEM coupe forged wheels, clear corners, maybe lower it 1-1.5 inch (Z/G spring/strut combo?) I wouldn't mind picking up a set of black seats either and just clean the car up.
I have lurked G35driver before when a G35 came in on trade at my work and found it to be a great forum, very resourceful and friendly. Looking forward to my new car and posting more on this forum.
