First G, 5th Nissan

Hey all,

I recently picked up a fully loaded 04 coupe with a 6 speed and a VERY LOW 33k miles.

This is my first G and first RWD in a long time.

Previous Nissans included a 91 300ZX TT, an 86 300ZX, 95 Maxima, and an 02 Maxima 6 speed with full bolt ons that ran a 13.7 @101).

More about my new G (that I will pick up in about a week's time)...

2004 G35 Coupe, 33k miles(one owner- garage kept), 6 speed, silver paint, chrome 7 spoke 18s, Injen intake, Borla exhaust, tint, Brembos, NAV, and some other goodies. The car is cherry and in near new condition- will post pics later.

I love the car for it's look and style but realize it is not fast without FI. With that said, I still want to dip comfortably into the 13s while maintaining it as comfortable DD. Future mods will include 06 headlights, 5/16 spacer kit, some weight saving items, some kind of STS mod, suspension mods, tune, wheels/tires, and flirting with an upgraded DS.

Look forward to chatting with y'all and learning about platform in detail.

Hello and welcome on board! Congrats on your purchase, post some pictures when you have a chance. A lot of good info here regarding mods in case you are thinking of doing any. Check out some of the garages and you may get some ideas. Enjoy your time here!

This is the night I picked her up. I gave it a quick wash and have since removed some Injen deals and the "Skyline 350GT" badging. It did leave a slight mark and I can see a faint discoloration from the badging. I am going to get it professionally detailed to get it buffed out.

I also broke 33,333 miles the other day

Congrats! You scored an excellent car. Looks fantastic and the low mileage is a big plus.

Just curious, about how much did you buy it if you don't mind me asking?

Nice ride! Since your user name is throwing20s, I'd suggest a slight drop, some 20s, and rear camber kit for tire wear and your G will look just that much better. Great choice on removing the skyline badging. Enjoi your ride!

It's a DnD thing. I'm a geek and run a blog called throwingtwenties.com in my free time

In regards to wheels, I'd prefer low weight, width and performance over wheel height. Wheels are a later mod, after some hfc, spacer kit, suspension, maybe DS, and a STS. But thanks for the heads up!

Over all it is a very clean car and I'm happy to be a G member!
