I just picked up a 03 G35 coupe with brembo brakes and a turbo.
I don't know anything about the car yet, planning on starting a build thread and figuring out what the car has and needs once i finish my other build. (Turbo Miata)
I will be daily driving the car to work in the mean time and doing regular maintenance - plan is to rebuild this engine and go high boost. At the moment i believe it is only pushing about 4 pounds on some sort of garret turbo from what it seems...
I would guestimate my buttdyno around 320-350. Previous owner said somewhere around 400 and that it was at 10 psi. that is no longer the case and it needs some work which i plan to put in myself.
Anyways. I'll save the rambling for a build thread. Here's some pics. (I hate these gauges btw, most of them dont even work. no afr numbers.)
I just took a look at the parts and saw the potential. It was a very good price. Its actually a precision turbo in here - I'm thinking its either 5862 or 6262
Welcome to the G community. Save money to rebuild your engine. Your going to need it. You can also search these forums on ppl blowing there engines.
Thanks planning on not doing that (blowing engine)
I have the money for the rebuild already but i have another project i need to get out of the way first before i can start this one.
I also dug a little deeper into the car and found its running greddy emanage blue, has unknown upgraded injectors, unknown upgraded clutch. Greddy knock off oil pan, Ebay Kanji brand turbo kit that has been re-welded several times it seems.
Overall. Not bad.
I am planning to go uprev and remove emanage, Most likely will replace piping before rebuild as theres a few things that are very questionable.
- i have already purchased the UPREV MAF GT - planning on having GSD / dynonh.com do the work while i work on my other project.
