Hey Whats Up Bros

So I am new to this forum and new to the G35 Coupe . I just picked up an 06 that literally fell int my lap. I am not a mechanic but mechanically inclined so I look forward to reading the How To's and checking out your projects as well as working on mine.
Right off the bat I dropped it off at the paint shop as the guy who owned it pre me ran into financial trouble but had already had it at a body shop for a color change.
While thats going on I am trying to find the factory Boss 6 disc but from all the pics I have seen they are different from what I have

Yep, that's an aftermarket Metra faceplate. Read the sticky at the top of the audio sub-forum from Wrathernaut to get the lowdown on retrofitting sound. You don't really want to pursue the Bose headunit, but the Metra route is a pretty sad second choice from the visual quality. Read up, you'll find the way. Welcome and good luck with the ride. You're right. It needs paint!

^^You must not read a lot on here. Almost all of us say the Metra is crap..... Try to sell that POS and get a JDM faceplate, best money you'll spend on your car.

I hope there's a lot more of the dash. You need the center radio stack section, but it looks like they took that when they took the radio. You'll have to find a junkyard source, most likely.

What you see as far as the dash is what it came w/ I have been looking around on a few sights for stereo equipment but again I bought it on a Wed. dropped it off at the Paint Shop right around Xmas. Ik literally drove it from the shop where I was able to get it on a lift to the Body shop less than 10 miles. The Metra Kit came w/ it. So yes please point me in the right direction for the dash parts I will need and a good replacement head unit suggestion.
Also What size wheels are you all running after you lower your G? I would like to find something Staggered

One or the other. It's a storage compartment for cars without the NAV option; with NAV yes that's where it rises from.
