New to the G World
New to the G World
Hi All,
Picked up my first G35 this past weekend. Car was sitting on the lot here in town for about 70 days... Talk about a price drop when I went in there to deal with the guy selling it to me. I was anything but surprised and got a heck of a deal!
Car ran great during the test drive. I pushed it through the gears pretty hard and it held very well. Nothing stuck out negatively mechanically. The interior is probably 7/10. I can tell they had kids 'cause the door handles in the back are showing signs of entering/exiting. A bit of silver is showing through the tan plastics. I haven't had a free day to cut/polish/wax but it'll be very soon. There's a couple scratches here and there with some swirls but it'll be buffed out in no time!
Car is bone stock which I am happy about. The sedans usually aren't driven as hard and I like the sleeper attitude four doors bring. I know it isn't a Chevy SS or a CTS-V but these can pull their weight pretty well. Very excited about the purchase! Probably not going to do any mods to it. If so, very minimal. A lowering kit and maybe some wheels off newer G's or even a 370Z (I haven't looked at the bolt pattern but I would guess they are the same). I've looked into drop-in K&N filters which I see have pretty good reviews. That's about it if I can stay away from part stores and car meets
Glad to be here and I've already gained some knowledge digging through the threads. If any of you guys are in Eastern SD, let me know!
Take Care!
