Mikey's New G35
Mikey's New G35
Hi, just got my G a couple weeks ago, it is an 06 sedan 6MT with sport package, premium package, Brembo brake pads and rotors, and Michelin Pilot Sports. I love the car so far and it is a blast to drive.
Already asked this question in a different thread before I saw the new member sign in, but the previous owner curbed the wheels in a few spots and I am looking to repaint them myself. What is a good paint brand/color that would be good for the 18" sport wheels? I have seen the duplicolor hyper silver and maybe their gloss black as another option. What do you guys think? Thanks
Honestly the best canned paints to buy (since house of kolors stopped making spray cans) are for model cars. Those little testor 4oz cans at Michael's and hobby shops. They're expensive for their size, but the nozzles are much finer and spray extremely evenly.
It will cost a bit more, but it looks good.

Maybe. Not sure if it's a universal fit. That truly is the trick to spray painting tho, is to find a paint that uses a fine mist tip. The Shrimrins house of kolors old 8oz spray cans for models used to be the best. Painted a whole motorcycle with those once and it looked fantastic.
Ok I will make a trip to Michaels then and take a look at their selection. Thanks for the input!
As for the bumper the previous owner was in a fender bender and got it replaced which might explain it, I wasn't aware it was an X bumper but it looks good to me.

Here's some quick pics I took on my phone after I detailed it out. Huge difference from before (previous owner took care of it mechanically but wasn't a great detailer).
