Welcome, I am fairly new to the fold myself. There is a ton of good information to be found here. The forum has been around a while and a search will net a ton of info so i'd advise to be specific in your search.

Start with critical repairs and would affect safety or driveability, leave cosmetic stuff till last.

Things done to my g35 so far...aside from oil changes
  • replace light bulb for the gear shift indicator
  • replaced front shocks and struts
  • replaced front control arms
  • new tires
  • recharge ac system
  • replaced serpentine belt - It was squeaking real bad!
Still need to be worked on...
  • Seat covers
  • gas door release mechanism. The door doesn't sit flush with the body panel when closed
  • fuel gauge very iffy
  • radio just stops working randomly (Loud popping noise over the speakers and yes it's a Bose system)
just keeping track of my fixes and improvements.

A G needing work, some mechanical aptitude, and the ability to concisely convey information using bullets!
Please stay awhile!
I fixed my fuel gauge on my 04 by cleaning the sending unit contacts... The best solution for the stock sound system is a new head unit, speakers, and an amp, the original system's not worth fixing IMO as they're well known to break in multiple ways disabling the AC at the worst and not working at the best.
