New Member, Future G35 Coup Owner with ?'s

Hi all,
I'll be in the market for a G35 Coup.
I've got to sell my bike. I'll have about 8k-9k to spend.
I'm 53. Need a sharp looking daily Sportscar and can't afford a Porsche (Doing biz in my truck sucks up to much gas.)
I'll eventually just might SuperCharge it, with the goal of a classy, sleeper.
Lets just say as an old muscle car owner. I'm new to turner world thanks to my son and love it. (8k won't even pay for the engine of a muscle car.lol)
SO, I came here for intel considering my 8k-9k budget, for something as UNMOLESTED and as close to VIRGIN G35 I can find.
What's the best bang for my buck? What's the best years for my budget? What's the lest troublesome year, model, etc. What should I look for as far as issues or advantages? For the year, what's a decent milage to consider? If my budget is too low, and adding 3k more will really help..that's fine too, I'll wait.
I hope I'm not asking to much here. I'm trying to avoid making a big mistake in my purchase.
I'm looking forward to being an owner and adding value to this group!

It varies with location, but your budget should be adequate to find a relatively low-mileage unmolested coupe if you have patience. 2005-06 your best bet for first gen. You'll see more 5AT than 6MT; if 6MT is mandatory, you'll have to look longer. But they are out there.

Hey I really appreciate your response thank you so much! I have a slight reconsideration going to automatic transmission. I’ll keep it in mind. Thank you!

The automatic isn't a bad choice and the transgo shift kit livens it up considerably.

Yeah I have the kit out back in the shop; need to find a sharp and willing tranny specialist locally to do the conversion. That's one I don't think I want to tackle.
