M56 can't do a burnout?

Hey guys I just bought a 2011 m56 and it doesn't do a burnout. RPMs wont go over 1500 when I hold the brake and hit the gas. Also its burning oil like crazy. What could cause that? I'm trying to avoid the dealership. Thanks.

Welcome.

Maybe fix the running issues first.

That car doesn't have launch control, all you're doing is ****ing the car up holding the brakes and the gas like that. If you want quicker shifting turn that little dial in the middle to SPORT. Where is it burning oil from? Out the tailpipe? Coming from the engine bay? Magically disappearing or leaving drops on the ground?

no drops on the ground. The shop did an oil change 1000 miles ago and last night it was bogging out so I happened to check the oil. Not a drop on the dipstick so i added 4 quarts. And yes the smoke was out of the tail pipe but only when I added the oil and hasn't done it since. Car has been running great, but how did it burn up all that oil in 1000 miles. Yeah I use the sport dial. I was just curious as to why it wouldn't do a burnout.

Because the aggressive traction control doesn't allow for horseplay. It sounds like you need to do a compression test on the motor. 4 quarts low and you likely blew the piston rings and now need a new motor.

There's a safety feature that causes the engine to cut power when it sees you pressing both the brakes and the gas at the same time. Remember the whole Prius unintended acceleration issues a decade ago?

If you unplug the brake light switch on the pedal you'll be able to rip some skids. Some people wire in a toggle switch.
