Nissan Skyline G35
2002 Nissan Sedan (Skyline G35/350z?) Suspension repair

Hey guys,

Got this car from the auctions, grey import, has skyline printed all over but rego doesn't specify model, it's listed only as 2002 Nissan sedan so I'm not sure what model I should be looking at for parts etc.

It's obviously been modified by previous owner, suspension has been lowered, possibly chopped, don't know for sure. Local mechanic sent me this photo after I took it in for a service and told me the front suspension (mainly bushes) are destroyed, and the steering column is about to fall off...

Mechanic's photo - destroyed bushing

He's said it'll take 6 weeks to source bushes/bushings for repair from Nissan, but doesn't seem sure about what parts will suit...

Any advice on what model's parts will be compatible and where to source them? Possibly quicker/cheaper? Or a recommendation for a more specialised mechanic in Perth?

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm at a loss!

Thanks

What country are you in?

there are poly suspension bushing companies like Energy and Prothane that make great replacement bushings for a super reasonable cost. Would highly recommend looking into them.

Since you're in Australia it is actually the Skyline, here in 'Murica it was sold under the Infiniti brand as the G35. I vote for replacing those worn suspension components with aftermarket stuff as well, .going through Nissan is likely to be more expensive for a part that has less performance and wears faster.
