Infiniti G35 Sedan RWD
Used JDM transmission HELP
My transmission went out on my 2005 g35 sedan RWD and I’m considering getting a JDM tranmission. Any problems or suggestions? Would it fit and would I be able to pass smog with a JDM tranny?

Literally the exact same transmission. They are all made in Japan, not the USA, Japan.

Your vehicle will probably need to be programmed (TCM) so keep that in mind. Make sure you buy the correct transmission. Pull the numbers off the ID tag.

wheres the Id tag? The vin number tag u mean? And wouldn’t the shop program for me after they install.

No I mean the transmission tag, it's on the side of the transmission. Call the shop to verify they have to tools to do the necessary programming, I have no idea what tools they have.

thanks JDM is installing it so I’m pretty sure they would have the right tools to program it

I am about to do the same thing so what was your results? Did you have to change anything? Did you have to have it reprogramed?
