2007 g35 coupe, Motordyne XYZ pipe, fully loaded, 19 inch alloy,
Ok I知 New here and have a couple questions

Hi guys what痴 going on? Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy out there. So im installing a Motordyne XYZ y pipe with a HF attached to it and the question I have is do I have to remove any other cats? Or the resonator on the mid pipe? Can I just add the motordyne with the HF to the stock system as is? Please help I already ordered the part

The XYZ pipe is a modular y-pipe, it can be configured either with a cat, with a straight pipe, or with a resonator. Dimensionally it replaces JUST the existing y-pipe on the car. You don't need to modify any existing components to make it fit, 100% bolt-in.

However, it sounds like you ordered it with the HFC, your car already has catalytic converters just upstream of the y-pipe, they fit between the headers and the y-pipe.

The XYZ was mostly designed to work in tandem with the Motordyne ART pipes which replace the factory cats.

You really wouldn't want to add ANOTHER set of catalytic converters to the car, personally I think you should swap out the XYZ HFC for the resonator or straight pipe and instead use some regular HFC's like the Fast Intentions ones.
