What’s up guys. Bought my 06 G35 coupe 6sp manual on 4/4/2020.
I have already installed Tein coilovers, new wheels, brembo brakes, paint matched front lip, carbon fiber diffuser, roof spoiler, and mirror caps, and just got some retro fitted spec d sequential headlights
Waiting for my Motordyne plenum spacer to come in the mail
Im staying in santa clarita right now. U might see me on the 14 if u ever drive down to the city.
nice bro! I’m sure I’ll see you around, I actually do a lot of jobs out in Santa Clarita. Once all this pandemic is all over, hoping to do some g meetups
I'm near Simi Valley/Thousand Oaks area
I just installed the Motordyne plenum spacer.this weekend (along with a new knock sensor + harness, thanks a wire-eating vermin!), and it makes a considerable difference. Stronger mid-range torque.
Make sure you do the ECU reset after you install, otherwise it'll run kinda crappy w/ plenum installed. I used Datascan to clear learned settings (same thing as ECU reset I think(?)), but you can do it without the fancy tool.
Don't touch the throttle plate unless you want to do an idle-relearn!

I didnt do any reset after I installed my plenum spacer. I wanted to feel the difference it made, and doing a reset wouldve given me false results. I also changed my plugs to NGK iridiums at the same time. I actually do feel a bit more power in the mid-range. Nothing too crazy though. The engine feels smoother overall.

Thats to keep the throttle body from freezing. I know it gets icy in Lancaster sometimes, but I dont think its that bad. Ive seen some guys install a valve so they can leave it off for summer, and switch it on during the winter.

oh ok. I probably won’t install it. Car sits in the garage, anyways. I’m gonna wait to install the spacer, until I get the mrev2. Ive read that the spacer won’t do anything with the rev up until I add the mrev2.

Yup, rev up needs the spacer AND the MREV2 plenum. Just spacer wont help.
