transmission replacement 2007 G35X
HELP !!! had to replace my transmission , it was completely flushed when I got the refurbed one. I also don't now the torque specs. we put it in and it made a squealing sound. I need help!!!
Squealing sound... did you PROPERLY install the torque converter? Put it on the shaft of the tranny, push, spin until it sets down another notch, push and spin until it sits down a THIRD TIME. Then lay a flat edge across the bellhousing and measure the distance back to the torque converter. This should be the same backspacing as the engine block to flex plate mount holes.
As for the torque, check the factory service manual, there are 3 different torques for the 4 different bolt lengths, AT - Automatic Transmission page 256.

He has helped countless people on these forums over the years.
Not sure how G35Driver is now a days but this is how it used to be about 10-15 years ago when this place was really popular.
We're lucky to have people like him who are still around trying to help and give solid advice.
OP.....Hopefully you figured out your problem and can come back with an update.
Would love to hear how your car is doing and that its back on the road before driving season officially begins
