Trying to replace mt alternator wire Harness
I'm trying to get some help I have a 2007 G35 and my alternator went out. When the mechanic was working on it he said I needed a new alternator regulator wire harness. I ordered one off of amazon but the wires on the harness were black, green and red, but the original wires on the harness are purple, green, and a redish color. but before I could give him the part he cut the wires so not I don't know what order the wires go on the connector. If anyone could help me I would be super thankful.

Infiniti and most other luxury vehicles use higher quality parts than parts used on cheaper vehicles.
What you should have done was taken your OEM alternator to a qualified electric motor rebuilding shop and had them bench test your alternator and replace any defective parts causing it to fail.
Download the FSM for your vehicle. Perhaps you can find a totaled vehicle in a junkyard with the harness connector and solder the wire connections back to your vehicle.
A trip to a dealer would have cost more than the incompetent so called mechanic that you chose is charging you but you would have had a working vehicle to drive away with and would not have had to post here trying to figure out what to do next.
I think you should pay that so called mechanic for his incompetent work thus far by credit card and get your vehicle out of there. Call AAA for a flatbed truck to move your vehicle elsewhere.
Call your credit card company and request a charge-back for poor and incompetent workmanship.
Send the alternator back to Amazon and have your original alternator rebuilt.
Feeling sorry for you but live and learn!
There are lots of incompetent people out there claiming to be a mechanic.
They are cheap and you usually get what you pay for.
Sorry for the rant but this happens quite often to those looking to save a few dollars.
Good luck to you

Here's a link to the FSM, check section SC - Starting/Charging. That should have the wiring diagram for the alternator.
