2006 G35X. Injen CAI, Blox 5/16 Plenum, Y-Pipe, Straight Pipe
Question New member G35x 06 Help

I have a G35x 06 with 126k miles. I have a blox plenum spacer 5/16, injen Cai, a new y pipe (forgot brand) and a muffler delete. Headers and Cats are too expensive right now. Would just a tune help out with what I have?

Yes, particularly with the removal of the throttle limiting system. Right now you can stomp your throttle wide open and at low rpm it does NOT open the throttle fully. That's one of the things a tune will fix that makes the car much more driveable.

would a throttle body spacer help, I see they have em cheap 100-150. Not trying to do more mods than that. And how much is a Tune for the car, Im in the NYC area

I wouldn't bother with a TB spacer.

Send a pm to the user @seymore4 for prices on an e-tune if you aren't able to find a shop locally (or if you just want to do an e-tune instead).

A tune does make a big difference in overall driveability, even with a completely stock car I've never had anyone regret doing it. Also with an AWD model I would strongly recommend etuning (preferably with me ); most shops do not have an AWD dyno which means they will street tune your car (same thing as etuning) but charge you the dyno tune price.

One thing I would recommend you do immediately regardless if you tune or not is change the spark plugs to a new set of NGK iridiums.
