Help!! What is this wire for


Anyone knows what this wire is for???
this is on the right side inside the trunk

Well, it's the wiring harness and it goes to a lot of things. I had a 2006 sedanX, but it's been five years so memory is a bit fuzzy. I believe the plug is the one for the satellite tuner. Even if your car didn't come with satellite package, the plug is still in the harness. The satellite tuner location is up underneath the rear deck. If you have the Bose head unit, you should have the sat button and all you need to do is to get a compatible tuner, antenna, and a Sirius XM subscription and you too can have satellite radio. I did retrofit in an OEM tuner. It's really old tech with no buffer memory, so it would cut out on underpasses and when there were tall trees next to the highway. If that's something you're interested in pursuing, PM me and I can dig around and find some of the materials I used to research the install. I think I might have put up some posts on it too, so you could also search for those.

oh ok thanks and my car didn't come with a Bose system at all it's weird to me lol

Yeah a lot of the harnesses are like that. One harness for all the versions of that model. Then they just plugged in the options that particular car was being set up for.
