Went to start it and instantly rpms shot up to around 5k. Driving totally fine for years, just randomly happened. Not sure what will happen if I don't turn it off. Afraid of blowing it up since it's almost redlining so kept shutting it off manually. I can upload a video once I figure out how.

 

Sounds like a massive vacuum leak.
