Hello new member here and need help

I bought a 2003 G35 coupe 6MT at an auction and need help in figuring out how to get it started. First of all I put the key in and turned it to start and all it did was click once. Tried it again and same thing. Battery terminals are pretty loose and tried to tighten them up and tried once more and still no better. Boosted it with my truck and had a helper try to start it with no change. My helper(my wife) told me later that she had trouble pushing the clutch in all the way after I abandoned the operation on the way home which is 100km away. All of the dash lights were working so I am not sure if I need to replace the battery or it may need a starter. Any thoughts on what to try next? Thanks

Not sure if you figured it out but it sounds like the battery is toast to me. If you did find the issue, would you mind sharing?

G35 won’t start

It was the starter that was gone. Put a new one in and fired right up. Not much room to get it in and out. New issue is the rusted out subframe.

Ahh, rust is never fun. Hopefully it’s just surface rust and can be sanded off and coated. I wish you the best my friend 💪

Rusted out

No, this is major structural damage and has eaten away a lot of metal. There is a company Z1Motor Sports that has a subframe brace that should replace it but I need to do some more research. Working on getting a 2 post lift so I can do it myself.
