Hey guys,

I wanna say whats up to everyone and introduce myself. My girlfriend just bought an 06 G35 coupe 5speed AT (sucks, wanted the MT ) but since I'm going to be doing most of the driving, modding, etc., just thought I'd sign up for yet another forum.

Its a 2006 Black G35 coupe with the nav, sports suspension and 19 wheels. Planning on doing some exhaust, intake, and aesthetic mods.

Since I test drove a 2005, I think the 06's exhaust is waaay quieter...anyone else get this idea?

Anyways, I also drive a supercharged black jeep grand cherokee and am no stranger to speed. Looking forward to my first real "sports car" experience, but am slightly disappointed that my SUV is faster than my car

How much quieter? Damnit, i was hoping the 06's wouldnt be quieter but the same. It might be quieter since its a 5AT. I might have to get an 05 instead if the 06 6MT is quiet.

 

There is always aftermarket exhaust, which I feel sounds better than stock . . . But that's just my opinion.

 

Is there an after market exhaust system? With my jeep (and I'll be opening most posts with this line, be forewarned), there was a system which opened up like tons of extra HP and tq because it increased the overall pipe diameter from the headers to the tip and included a new hi-flow cat. Is there a similar system available for the g35 coupe 5at?

Also, there are a couple options w/ CAIs...AEM and Injen could have been factory options...is there also one more trusted/used by you guys here?

Yes, we put those on this afternoon. The orange marker's are disgusting It gives it so much of a cleaner look.

Gotta change the bulbs later this week. I'll post some pics of that when I get em.

nice.. im a new 06 owner too. idk... the sound seems the same to me on the exhaust... then again its hard to tell since i leave hte music on so loud

 

Sorry for the off topic, but 8o8CPV35 what color did you get and do you have any pics? So far I've only seen the 06's in black and am dying to see them in IP or the new LP
