Insurance QUestions?!?!

hello everyone, i am a new member here.... starting today. i am thinking of buying a g35 coupe as a christmas gift to myself and i was wonering how good is this car? LOL im just kidding you guys, lol. i KNOW how good this car is, i love it.

naw really guys but i do have a question. if i buy this car, will it be considered a sports car on ym insurance papers? and if so, my insurance will be more costly right?

i heard that 2 doors with seats in the back are considered sports car but are charged the same as sedans. Or if the car is a 2 door with only 2 seats i the front and none in the back, it costs almost double the insurance cost.

is it true? i am really lost on the topic about insurance, i have it but never know about it.

if u guys want more info, I live in Los Angeles, CA. have had my license for about 2 years now, and i have had no crashes or tickets in my record, i am a very good driver.

thanks guys in advance, and much love to the Infiniti G.

Insurance companies go into a lot more detail than just classifying a car as a sports car or not. For the 2006 G35 my insurance company actually had a slightly lower rate for the coupe than for the sedan! Most insurance companies seem to use the same classifications for risk.

Insurance companies use so many statistics and numbers to figure out the "safeness" of a car that its impossible to estimate what you might pay. Just run some quotes through Gieco and Progressive and you'll have a starting point, or through your insurance agent you use. When I was doing research, I found that for full coverage on the G, it would be cheaper than for a Civic Si or a Scion Tc. Sealed the deal for me, tho I spent a little more than I originally was thinking about spending on a new car.....

The Z-tube is the plastic intake hose that connects to the air box. It is from the 350Z. Most people on this board say the mod is for a more aggressive sound rather than for any power increase. There are many places to get one, including ebay, but here is one of the venders that supports this site:

No other parts are required to use the Z-tube, but you can also use the z-tube with some of the other aftermarket intake components (such as Stillen's cold air box).

alright it seems a z-tube along with clear corners, full skyline badging, gtr rear valence overlay, raer light overlays, and front viala grill are a goign to be on my buying list.

but wat kind of cai should i buy? the k&n? stillen?pop-charger?

i heard the pop-charger has a problem. but it is also the one that gains the most hp increase. which one?
