Is it time??
Hey i have an 05' 6mt IP coupe just got to 1400 miles, i was wondering when should i bring her in for check-up at the dealer (milage wise)??? I feel that she's broken in enough and now i just want to change and clean oil pan for any metal particles. Another question, what should i expect them to do when i go in for my first check-up....(oil, spark plugs, etc.??)

At your noted 1400 miles there is really nothing to check. Your first oil change should be free. However, if you are concerned they are more than willing to check your lights, brake fluid, clutch fluid, air filter, drive belts, hoses, power steering, etc. for a few hundred bucks. Save your money and simply have your engine oil changed.

From my own dealings with the stealership - don't go in and say you want the "x" mile service (see manual if this is a question
). Go into the dealership and tell them what you WANT done *specifically*! Don't make any assumptions and be clear but nice about it. As for cost - dealership here doesn't do first oil change free - if you do the Premium maint. schedule I would guess around $100 but if you do schedule 1 or 2 it should run you somewhere around $40 - $50 depending on where you are.

ON the first checkup they don't do much more than that anyway.
