I've been trying to get two minor rattles fixed, took it in week before last, and they couldn't hear them, because they are more obvious when it's been sitting in the sun, got it to do it for Billy last week, so maybe they'll get fixed this time, kind of my fault, I didn't tell them when I took it the first time about the sun. Both are in the dash, one sounds like a wire or something under the dash hitting something on a bump.

I'm on the Westside too. Every day I drive 35 mph all the way to work. It's killing me. I just want to let er run. When will Montano be 2 lanes all the way??? Mine is silver w/ a snowboard rack. I'll see you around....
I didn't see a Titan at Garcia this morning, just a Tundra w a shell, maybe they already had a buyer for it.

Thanks fellas for the info on the local roads. NewB to the forum and to ABQ.

ABQ: I drive buy the dealer every day & I too did not see it. When I was trading her in they had mentioned it would be sold at Garcia Subaru. Guess they finally moved it. Sorry for the goose chase.

JCD: Asking price for your car was $32K. Got them down to $30.5K, but they did not give much for my truck. (just KBB trade value) We then countered for the 06: $1K off the sticker + $1K added to the trade for my truck. They accepted & now I'm here. I feel like we got a great deal. I know two other people who bought G's. The one who bought from Garcia took 3 mo for them to to drop the price $750 below sticker. The other just paid sticker at another dealership. There's a lot to be said for buying on the 31st day of a slow month. (Jan)

Yeah, that's true, I got my tint, pinstripe, and nose mask thrown in the deal because it was the last day of June, also the last day of 2.9%. Garcia tends to spread their used cars around their dealerships, they now also own KIA and Mazda on Lomas, used to be Rich. When I traded my Mustang GT for my '04 G35, it wound up on a lot in Los Lunas, geez...........

I too got tinted windows and all-weather matts, but never thought of the striping.

ABQ - Did they get the rattles fixed?

Shred - I got tint and all-weather mats too! I'm not fond of pin stripes as I mostly see them on used cars. I know ABQ likes them...sorry Tom.

Regarding my '04, the price they are asking is not much over what I got in trade for it. I'm impressed! Garcia sure takes care of their customers.

Not yet, they still have my car, I think the one has them stumped, it's the outer ac vent on the driver side, rattles when it's been in the sun, I had taken it in for that before, but thought it was the door panel. HaHa James, the loaner I have is my car, although mine would never be this dirty, but it looks strange to not have the pinstripe

ABQ: That's too funny. Your old car as a loaner. Did I pass you this AM on Montano? I think you were in the rt lane...

No, wasn't me this morning, you can spot my car because it has a DV plate on it, not a regular NM plate. Oh, no, the loaner wasn't my old car, it was the same as my '05, but dirty.........

Had the M in today to have the gas tank replaced Now I won't have to hold the pump handle to fill the car. It was strange, but whenever I set the pump to fill the car, it would shut itself off. Had to take it in with less than quarter of a tank, as close to empty as possible. After the installation, Garcia had to "test" the tank, and in the process filled it!

All looks great, they also fixed the buzzing from the subwoofer, the grill on the rear deck was loose. Oh, and Tom, the wash was not bad at all! The car was actually pretty dirty, as I had been on some dirt roads recently. While the wash wasn't a job I would do, it looked pretty damn good!

I should also say, the DG loaner I got smelled horribly. It makes one wonder what people do in these cars!?!?! Also, the inside of the windows were dirty, but it was relatively clean outside.

Shredx, how's the G doing?

It is all good...Thanks! It's funny. I'm the third person at my office to get a G sedan. One is an 03 with an odd blue color. The other is a white 05 with the sport package + dealer add on spoiler. When all 3 of our cars are next to each other, it really shows how diverse the same car can be. They all look so good in their own respect. The non-G owners at the office did not even realize we had the same make/model. (I still like the older body style with the black rockers and lower bumper trim. It's how the car was when I first became intrigued back in 03)

I have over 750 miles now. I threw it in manual mode & took it to the redline from 1st to 2nd. Kind of made me feel all warm & fuzzy. Up till now I had not been past 5k rpm.

I normally do not drive my cars hard like that, but you hear (or read) all the members talking about driving it like it was meant to be driven...and so on...
Most members with 03's & 04's that drive it harder do not appear to have any problems. The engine appears to be bullet proof.

Have either of you two heard about the day at the track that Garcia hosts?
If so, did you go last year? Let's hear about it.
If not, I can expand...

Shredx - Damn, you caught up to me! I got my G December 22nd, now have 760 miles. You better slow down! Actually, I need to get on the accelerator!

Tom will know a lot more about the Day at the Track. He actually designed the flyer for it last year! He mentioned this years event (September?) in a private message to me today! I plan on attending, don't know if I'll actually participate, but it would be great to meet a bunch of Infiniti/Nissan enthusiasts. Besides my Infinitis, the only other Nissan I've owned was a '92 4X4 SE-V6 crew cab pickup. Otherwise, I mostly owned Hondas and Toyotas.

Funny about the 3 G's in a row. When I traded the '04 in for the '06, the women in my office didn't even realize I had a new car! The house at the entrance to my subdivision recently sold, the new owners have a G35x, same color as yours and mine...damn, should have bought DG again! But I gotta admit, love the silver.

Later...gotta get the odometer rolling...
