I'm thinking about purchasing an 06 Coupe Auto, premium package. How close to invoice did you guys get? I wonder what's typical for this car.

I got an 06 with premium package, MT transmission, Nav Sys, sports suspension and 19" rims, 35K

 

I paid 1000 over dealer invoice. If I pushed it, I probably could have gone lower. It all came down to the fact I liked the salesperson, the dealership, and felt I was getting the facts instead of a line.

I believe you can get a general idea of cost over at the edmunds website. I researched online and got quite a few quotes from dealers.

Interesting note : I have a couple of friends in the business who do online car sales for other dealerships. A lot of online deals go for rock bottom prices. They count on you going through thier financing to make money. Play along, let them think you'll trade in etc,etc and then provide your own financing at the final minute.

I agree w Grace about online sales - after you test drive, scope out a reputable buyer in an online auction, ie authorized dealer if possible; got my '05 g35 sedan w/ MT for 27.8k - brand new - 200 miles, no registered owners. woohoo
