At around 12 midnight I was driving home on the LIE and saw a funny street race. I was doing about 80 myself (safely of course) and I saw some really nice looking headlights approaching behind me FAST. I didn't even get time to get out of the way before he ZOOMED around me. THat guy was LIGHTNING. It was a Bentley Continental GT. He must've been doing 100+ to get around me the way he did. Right behind him came another car trying to race the Bentley. What was it you ask....a Scion. I don't know which model. THe SUV type one that looks like a box on wheels. That guy was struggling; I don't know what he was thinking. The Bentley of course was just toying with him. It was funny to watch.

No particular reason for this posting. Just thought it be fun to share.

 

could just be two people in a rush. i dont think the scion driver is that stupid.

You'd be surprised... I had a Scion tC owner tell me Scion's are faster then M3's through 2nd gear and that he'd "kill" me in a race....

 

That would definitely crack me up if I saw it.

Was it a black Scion? I had one that was trying to race me on the Jackie Robinson one day. Why would the Bentley even waste his gas on that Scion

 

Probly because not many people want to take a Bentley on :-D Maybe when I get my M5...

 

I just chased the Bentley for a little while during one of his slow down phases (waiting for the Scion to catch up) to make sure it was what I thought it was...I pick and choose my battles.
