modern? shoot this city is futuristic..at least the buildings are. inside the apt is pretty comfy, and large. What about playstation..3? i havn't gotten one yet, i found the 60GB for $600, i'm still holdin out. I have my ps2 for now.

Just a guess, but, those are probably to deflect debris and other things that may get tossed onto the hood from sliding up and into the windshield while they're driving. It looks like they're out in force in this picture, doing some crowd control undoubtedly, and we all know how much fun it is to throw stuff at cops.
