Took my girl there for her birthday. It's a really nice place. The price isn't bad. The atmosphere there is so relaxed. Think of at as a lounge. They have a live band and the food is great. She wants to go there again and I was thinking the same thing.

lol.. they are PRETTY BAD actually (potholes) The drive isn't that bad. I've done the drive to Maryland.. not in the G though.. i'm sure it would've been better in the G. I live a block away from the Prudential.. I don't have my car in the city though.

Yes Boston si notorious for potholes but I will give them a little bit of credit because they have gotten better over a small period of time due to construction .As far as the drive have that radar on at all times especially comming up I95. 1am to 3pm is State Trooper mode . What part of Maryland are you comming up from? My cousin lives down in Baltimore and plays hoops for Pittstown Johnston and I want to go down there and surpirse him at one of his games.

You pay a premium for the view/atmosphere, not the food.

See if you can request a window seat. Although its pretty close to vday

Top of the Hub + Valentines Day = $$$$

The restaurant is on top of the Prudential Tower (second tallest building in Boston).. and it's considered one of the better restaurants on Boston.. You must have made a reservation waaaay in advance to get it on Valentine's day.. it's a very popular date place.. They also have a very good Sunday brunch

I agree with Leemik. Even booking a table for LUNCH in the middle of the week is difficult if you don't book at least a week in advance. It's a nice restaurant, expect to pay $20-40 for an entree, but I'd be absolutely shocked if you could get reservations for Valentine's.
You might want to take her to the Spinnaker instead, it's another restaurant with a nice view, and the floor slowly rotates so you get a nice panoramic view.

There are a million nice restaurants, but if you don't book now, you're probably going to have few choices.

Check www.phantomgourmet.com for some suggestions

How long will you be up here for? Maybe some of us can meet up with you at some point.

remember Valentines day means jacked up restaurant prices too! I bet Top of the Hub will be running a "$60 special" that day lol

and watch out for unmarked Mass State troopers in all kinds of cars like Intrepids, Ford 500's, Mustangs, Dodge Chargers and whatever else.. They use LIDAR and K/KA here... just look out for cars that have 50000 mini antennas on their trunk or roof

nah guys i made dinner reservations for wednesday at 630 next to a window seat, and since its a surprise, she may not be able to go so i made a second reservation for saturday as well. they take your credit card # so if you dont cancell your reservation 48 hours in advance they charge you like $25 per seat reserved. their special for vday is a 4course thing and its 250 a couple...i was like nahh fak that!! lol but yea its deff gonna be expensive and that weekend for me will be expensive!!

im sacrificing an HKS (HKS fund...not 1200...hopefully) for her right now...well with dinner and the other stuff planned and stuff stuff... DAMN IT!! HKS IS SOO CLOSE but soon to be soo far
