I was thinking maybe we can have a meet around March 10th or 11th. Perhaps in the daytime or sunset. I like to see if we can gather as many cars as possible. we try to make a nice group picture of the all cars attending. Z's G's and max's. I am giving the date in advance so This helps everyone to attend. Please mark your calendar for the day you can attend what ever date has the highest vote would be the date for this meet. Preview: A walk along the glacial bluffs above Long Island Sound. Most people go to Sunken Meadow State Park for its nearly three miles of beach along Long Island Sound— this is one of very few public swimming beaches on the north shore of Long Island. The three-quarter-mile-long boardwalk is a popular spot for strollers and exercisers all year long. But this 1,200-acre park has topography that also includes high glacial bluffs, tidal flats, and the mouth of the Nissequogue River. To see the varied terrain here, this walk will go along the bluffs in one direction and return via the shore.

Direction:

L.I. Expressway to exit 53. Take Sagtikos Parkway north. Sagtikos Parkway becomes Sunken Meadow Parkway. Go all the way to the toll-booths and look for the “Orienteering” signs.

Directions: Robert Moses Causeway, reached via south end of Sagtikos Parkway.

Situated at the confluence of the State Boat Channel, encompassing 298 acres, Captree State Park has been a fisherman's haven and a picnicker's delight since 1954. Captree Island consists of barrier islands on south shore of Long Island with islands and marshes on bayside. There are sandy beach and dune systems and natural salt marshes from the Nassau / Suffolk County Line in the west to Captree Island and Robert Moses State Park in the east. The Captree State Park on the eastern end of Jones Beach Island and western tip of Fire Island are also encompassed. The Park offers a boat launch ramp with parking for 64 boat trailers. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors while celebrating a special occasion with a boat ride. Afternoon trips usually start at 4:00 pm and the late afternoon is the pleasantest time to feel the sea spray on one's face and wind in the hair.

i must say you sure as hell did your homework on this one. I don't see any reason why anyone wouldn't come. unless they are out the country, like me. I can't wait to see how this turns out. My birthday is Mar 10th

 

ill update this post. a lot of us will be at the usual sunday captree meet by 8am then cruise up north to sunken meadow for the photo shoot. attendance list is up to 50 people as of now.
