Any accountants here? Familiar with NYS and NYC Taxes
I'm trying to do my own taxes but I'm getting caught up on one thing.
For 4 months 5/14 - 9/14 I lived in Virginia and was paid in Virginia, I paid NY State tax during this time, but not NYC tax.
My question is can I claim part year resident status since I lived outside of NY for these 4 months?
