How is south-bound FDR traffic at 5:30?

Need to head to SoHo today at 5:30 from NJ. Never taken the FDR all the way down at that time. I avoid the FDR like the plague in my G, so most of the time I get off at the triboro exit whenever I do take it. Wondering if I should just head down the TP and take the Holland instead.

'Puff

@ that hour you will be in deep do do no matter what you take. Do you know the werd Rush Hour ... lol j/k
Make sure you have a full tank and some CD's .... lol

IMO it's half of one or another, choose your poison. Keep in mind the Holland inbound to Manhattan has less lanes going in during rush hour. They reverse lanes going outbound (Manhattan).

It's times like this you wish you had an AT ...lol
Wanna switch

Have phun.....

As many times as I have been to the city I either get there by 4 or after 8 just to avoid that traffic. I've got family in QB and Brooklyn and Manhattan and they tell me the FDR Pkwy is hell at those times especially when it's hot and there's no AC!

Made it in 20 minutes! Took the West Side all the way down... no traffic till I hit Chelsea. Not too shabby.
