Can anyone recommend a good auto sound/security shop in the Queens/LI area? I plan on getting a Clifford alarm with remote start. I don’t mind paying a little extra for a shop that I know will do a good and clean job.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I was recently in the same boat. I picked up my G35 coupe almost two weeks ago. I spent a week looing for someone to do my alarm and remote start. I ended up going back to my dealer and having them install the audiovox alarm upgrade on top of the infiniti system.

The benefits of the infinity system: direct harness connections, lifetime infiniti warranty, motion/tilt/glass sensors, siren replace horn beeps (u have to disable the horn beep on lock though).

The downsides of the infinity system: no remote start option, the keyfob can only handle 9 signal codes, to do remote start u need 11.

I went with the infiniti system since I own the car and I like being able to bring the alarm back to the dealer anytime.

...And you need a remote-start in NYC, because while you're getting ready to go out at least the car can warm until you're ready to get in *wink*.

 

I just picked up my coupe from Millennium and had the alarm upgrade with the remote start. Werks great. Nice feature on the cold dayz we've been having. I keep forgetting to hit the heated seats though.... duh.
