Tyson's area car wash

I live in the Tyson's area in Northern VA, and I was wondering if anyone has taken their car to the Champion's Car wash on Rt 7. I've seen some posts about the conveyer belt washes scratching the 18" rims, so I'm concerned. I've gotten my car washed at Rosenthal, but people have had problems at dealerships too. Any advice? Thanks.

Re: Tyson's area car wash

No one in the NoVa area with experience at this car wash? I know it's a little sac-religious to not wash my own car, but it's tough living in an apartment complex. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Tyson's area car wash

Before, I ended up doing the bucket method and hand washing the thing. Takes a few trips, but there aren't too many self-wash bays that I can find in the DC area. I'd bring a few old gallon jugs of water to supplement me.

Now, I have a carwash bay at my condo...so I'm all set

Re: Tyson's area car wash

We actually have a car wash area in my complex, but it's shut down for the winter. I guess I'll just keep using Rosenthal for now - they hand wash it, and they do a decent job. I don't want to risk scratching my rims at Champions. Thanks for the advice.
