headlight laws in NJ

Hey i was just wondering if any of you know the laws about smoking out the head and tail lights

ie. bat overlays.

I don't think it should be too much of a hassle as long as your lights are visible. But then again it depends on the officer and how up on their DOT laws they are.

anything that covers or limites your headlights/taillights/blinkers are illegal, just like any altered exhuast

but most people get away with it
