Tint In Mass

What's a good price to pay for tining my windows. Also, has anybody gone with a tint darker than 35% in MA. If so, have you had probelms with police and inspection?

You are always going to have a problem with police and tints in the state of Massachusetts especially if you live in Boston. Tint can cost any where from 185 and up. I usually can get windows on the G coupe done for about 200.00. Never had a problem with inspection

u can always go 40% on your front side windows, and then as dark as you want on your rear windshield and quarter panel. it will look nice and legal

Not to make you guys feel bad, but I got my G tinted 5% all the way around with 35% on the windshield (lifetime warranty) for $120. Guess it pays to live in the south

Really? MGL 90/9d doesn't say so. 35% is it..... Maybe you can teach us where to find this information?

I paid 250 for my tint, which was a little steep....

Tint & Percentages...........?

It's hard to believe the price differnces from one coast to the next. I paid
$125 and went with 35% so the cops might let me slide......ya never know.
I've had cars with limo tint on the back window and you can't see anything
at night......not a good idea. Stick with what the law says is legal in your
state, 35% keeps the glare out and still looks good.

Don't listen to this guy.

Taken from massRMV site:
What are the specifications for aftermarket window tinting?

For most vehicles, aftermarket tinting that registers at least 35% on a tint meter on side windows immediately adjacent to the driver and front passenger seats, and side windows immediately to the rear of the operator and passenger, is acceptable. The rear window may be tinted to the 35% level, but the vehicle must be equipped with two outside rear view mirrors. The windshield may only be tinted down to the AS-1 line, which is usually located in the uppermost (6) inches of the windshield.

price depends on the job and quality of the film,if its less than 100,than find out what film is it and what type of warrantee youll get,you dont want your tints to turn purple in a couple months,do your research
