meeting G35 drivers in MD
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and was wondering how often you guys have meets? I don't have a G35, but I enjoy driving around in the northern Gaithersburg area in my NSX and was wondering if anyone one else wants to meet.
I know some roads in the area that would be great for driving.
(weather permitting of course...)
(I try to attend other meets because, to me its kind of boring going to meets where everyone has the same car. I already know how my car drives and sounds).

I think the G35 coupes look really sharp. Here is a picture a friend of mine took for me.

Welcome to the forums WilliamT (Riker?). Just kidding. Anyway, PM me with your contact info. I've been trying to keep a contact list of all the people in the PA/MD/DC/VA area. I'm up to about 13 people most of whom are part of the Capital G Club. Send me whatever info you can, home number, cell number, IM, MSN, e-mail and I'll try to keep you posted for when we do meets.

Re: meeting G35 drivers in MD
A typical drive may be something like.
start in Damascus. Head down Rt 108 towards Rt 650.
continue on Rt 650 to Rt 97. Take Rt 97 down to Olney at the intersection of Rt 97/108. Head north up Rt 108 towards Laytonsville. You can then continue on Rt 108 until you hit the 108/650 intersection, then left onto 108 back into Damascus. The trip is probably around 25 miles tops.
For longer trips, I continue Rt 650/97 and continue down 650 and left onto Brighton Dam road. When I reach Clarksville, I can back track on Rt 108 again go straight back to Laytonsville.
I also like taking Rt 27 -> Rt 144 -> Rt 97.
I also drive the MD scenic roads especially the Catoctin Mountain Highway (Rt 15) and roads around Sugarloaf Mountain Park. C&O canal route is also pretty good.
Rt 28 to Rt 107, Rt 109 or Rt 117 is also a good stretch of road. Rt 117 intersects with Rt 118 to get you back into Germantown.

Re: meeting G35 drivers in MD
The Capital G Club is planning on meeting February 7. We are planning a possible Dyno Day in the afternoon, followed by an early dinner, and ending with a meet at Tyson's Corner with the boys over at my350z.com. I (Club Secretary) or Chris (Club President) will be sending out an e-mail about it in the next few days. If you are at all interested and haven't already, PM me with your contact info (cell, e-mail, etc.) and I will try to keep you posted. Thanks.
The Capital G Club meets will increase in frequency when the ice and snow disappear.
