On my E46 I had Formula 1 metal tint 25% on the rears and 35% on the front for that offset look. 25% is the lowest you can go with the metal tint but I thought at least it would reflect heat better and regular film. I found this to be a load of crap as my car was usually a sauna. Since then i went with 3M on my G 15% front and 5% rear and it stay pretty cool inside. I need to get a sun blocker for the front to make sure it stays cooler.

I had 50%, then went to 35%, and when i decided that it was too light i went down to 15%. 15% is the tint that i will get on my next car also, anything lower would be too dark.

How much did the guys end up charging at Secondary Exposure? And what tints did you end up getting?

I think I'm gonna be getting 20% rear side and 35% front sides, should I be getting 20% on the rear windshield too? And will it look okay if I don't tint the front windshield since I wanna see out of the thing? Thanks all.

I ended up just getting the 35% on the rear and sides for $250. He would charge an extra $125 for the windshield...he said he has only done a few in the past year and dosn't reccomend it because you become a target for cops. You could go 20 on the rear but I wanted a nice flush look so I got the same everywhere. So far there hasn't been any bubling or any other problems. I am really impressed.

Tom is a cool guy. Just go to theartoftint.com and give him a call.
