The OFFICAL New England Spotted Thread "In & Around The Greater Boston"
My friends an I are planning to go there next wed for our very first time. My LR coupe is stock with added weight (sub box, aftermarket 19'), cobalt SS, accord v6, m3. Any advice? never drag before.
Hope to see you guys there next wed.

Get there early and tech quick so you can make runs before the track conditions start to deteriorate. They don't prep the track on street nights (wed and fri) so it turns to crap by the end of the night.
Sat and Sun test and tune is better for serious racers. It's more expensive though..about 28 bucks.
Tips for new guys?? Don't run your a/c in the staging lanes (drips water everywhere) and don't roll through the water box when you go up. Drive arount the water and then back into the water if you want to do a burnout. The FWD guys aways drive through it and drag water up to the line. If you go on street tires, don't do a burnout, just spin the tires a few times to clean off the sand and dirt and then stage.
If you can, try to ditch the extra weight and maybe put the stock wheels back on. 19's don't really hook all that well.
I might be there next Wed night too, but i'll be racing my Mustang. Vanity plate says GDDYUP. I'll keep an eye out

Black coupe on 1A heading towards logan airport. It was lowered with black rims, and some led bulbs on fog lights and on the side of your headlamps. Looked awesome, I was the dude next to your car in the silver mercedes, car looked excellent.

I'm assuming you were in the silver S500...
Yessir I was in the S. I was gonna say something but it I didn't have my car, so it might have been a bit wierd, some dude in a random car trying to talk about his G. LOL
What is the deal with the headlights? Is that your "The Works" package? Are you still offering that? I WOULD ABSOLUTLEY get that done, looked awesome. What exhaust you running as well? Car sounded very mean haha...Good to see someone on this site in person.

Yeah, from what I briefly saw, some of the cars looked like they could be pretty damn fast.
...a couple others..not so much.
I don't know why they mess around on route 1 and rt16. There are way too many troopers over there. I try to avoid that road on Friday nights any way, I don't want to be pulled over with the entire crowd and get tickets for street racing when I am just going home.
I was thinking the exact same thing myself. Rt16 is always crawling with cops.
