I had my 1k mile oil change done last Friday at Ray Catena Infiniti on US1 South and wanted to report back to the forum.

I was pleasently surprised by the level of customer service I received and how accomodating the service team was there. I was greated, allowed to pull my car inside their service bay, where the seat covers went on and the cardboard mats went in. Then it was brought into a service bay that I could see from the waiting area (it was wide open, not a sardine bay), they didnt even blink when I asked them to capture an oil sample for me to send off to Blackstone Labs.

All in all a good service visit. They also have a good view on mods. Their opinion is that they will repair anything they can get through Infiniti. There are limits though, like a guy who wanted them to keep replacing O2 sensors when he modded the car's intake system heavily (plenum, headers, exhaust, etc).

And they didnt get pissed when I asked that they not wash the car

Oh yeah, the oil change was $40 including all taxes. It was within the price range of 30-40 that you should expect.

nice post. fyi, they are on rt 1 north. forgetting that, they are the closest infiniti dealer near my house so most likely i'll be using them.

i am almost at break in point and the car is almost 6 months old, so i'm gonna change the oil. this change will be at douglas infiniti in summit where i bought the car, they owe me a free bee.

i assume you waited for the car. did you contemplate leaving the car and getting a loaner? how far in advance did you book the appt

I like their level of service, as well. I've had my oil changed twice at Ray Catena. I called them two weeks in advance to get a loaner, and had no issues. I think you'll be safe if you call up two weeks in advance. The first time, the lady was being trained, and she had a negative attitude. Maybe because I am a young guy driving this sweet car. Oh well, I am sure she'll learn to treat the customers right. Everyone else there was pretty friendly. They also said they'd have no problem with me bringing in synthetic oil for them to put it in.
I think I'll go back to them again.

Anyway, the thing that really made me post about them was that they got me into the garage on one days notice. I called on a Wednesday needing a Thursday appt b/c I had to drive like 200 miles on Friday for work. I was at 924 at the time, and there was no way I was going to drive past 1k with the original oil in.

I did wait and it took about 1.5 hours which is normal when you have an afternoon service appt (2pm).

i hate ray catena. my family bought a 2000 mercedes s class from them and we got ripped. we own 3 infinitis. and they always give us problems with the loaner and they are so expensive. if you want a loaner you have to schedule about 6-8 weeks in advance. that place just down right sucks. we live 30 minutes south of ray catena and we take our cars all the way up to north jersey, flemington infiniti. we bought all three of our infinitis from there too and they are really good about the loaner.
