i have clear bulbs in there, during an inspection (moving state licenses) the cop gave me crap about it, i said o i got the car like that and he didn't really say much more and never had any issues on any car ive ever owned. However they do have some PIAA bulbs that are suppoosdly "Invisible" which they are mirrored i guess so you dont see the bulb but the light still comes out orange, check it out http://www.everythingg35.com
sup chase! yea i gave my overlays to 07xprinze and niteshaded my tails. so far with my experience, ive been pulled over for tinted front windows 5 times within the month, only 1 time the cop said it was because of my tail lights.
ive been driving with smoked tails for so long... only 1 time was i over pulled over for "tail lights", but the main reason was cuz of my front tinted windows

im still contemplating about completely blacking them out, like as shown in this picture =D

i wonder about the legality of that... rofl..
i did research also about tail light tint legality (cant find it anymore tho), and as i recall i think it was that they need to see the "visible red brake light from 40 yards away". your cutouts are 100% legal because your brake lights still show.
