Boston-area dealer

A question for anyone in the Boston area. I'm planning on getting a G35 coupe sometime in the next few months and was wondering which dealers in the area people had the best (or worst) experience with.

Any to seek out or avoid?

Thanks!

Re: Boston-area dealer

I bought mine at Infiniti of Norwood. I almost bought one from Herb Chambers in Boston, but I ended up feeling like they just saw me as a walking dollar sign, not a customer. My experience with them was terrible -- the salesperson flat out lied about how much off MSRP I could get, just to get me in the door. They were reluctant to let me go on the highway, and they didn't have a 6MT for me to drive when I arrived ("It was just sold"), although they said they would. Norwood was a great experience all around. I drove a car the first time I went, even though it was a little later than they would normally let one out. Since I had the VPP option at that time (not when I went to HC, though), the fact that there was no negotiation was just great. I ordered my car, and got a call the next day that they had found one. Ironically, the car came from HC in Boston, so it made me quite happy to know that they didn't get my business, but I got their car. I'd highly recommend Infiniti of Norwood -- ask for Joe Veneto. PM me if you have any questions.

Nydam, didn't you already start this thread in the Northeast forum?

Re: Boston-area dealer

I bought mine at Infiniti of Norwood and got into a fight with them cause they lied to me about when the car would be ready in order to keep it for the weekend because their only other coupe was at an auto show. They told me it wouldn't be ready to go until the following Monday and then I realized that the registry was closed on Monday cause of a holiday. They wanted to register it on that Friday and keep it to show people that were interested. Needless to say, never going there again. I go to Nashua Infiniti (NH) now and they go out of their way to help you out. I recommend them. It's a new Infiniti dealership and they're eager to please. Hope this helps...

If you are willing to head south, you could try Inskip Automotive in Warwick RI. I bought two auto' s from Tom Fair. The dealership recently changed hands and I do not know if Tom is still there. He always treated me with respect and fairness. Service was always very good.

Oops - I started the thread here first, before realizing that the NE forum was more appropriate. Sorry for the double post, but thanks for all the feedback!

Re: Boston-area dealer

After my experience, I'm not surprised that Bob is no longer at Chambers (unless he left on his own accord)... That's who I was dealing with. I will admit, Michael Widlake seemed like he would be a good person to deal with, but I promised myself that I wouldn't go back there, so he didn't get the chance.

Re: Boston-area dealer

Got mine from Kelly Infiniti. I just spoke straight to the manager Brian something. Awesome service from him and awesome follow up service.

I went to Herb Chambers but like someone mentioned above it seemed like they were trying to ****** my money up. Terrible Terrible Terrible. I don't like Herb Chambers very much.

Re: Boston-area dealer

Norwood treated me very well, but I also thought the people who handle registration and other prep were slow getting the car in my hands. The sales guy was good even after closing the deal though. He picked me up from home in his own car and drove me to the dealership to pick up my car.

I had a bad experience at Kelly. I originally ordered a car from them and left a $2000 deposit, and they called me back the next day to tell me that there was a "new policy" and they were going to cancel my order unless I made my deposit non-refundable. I told them I'd call them back, then got on the internet and found out the exact car I ordered was sitting in Norwood. I strongly suspect they were trying to lock me into ordering directly from them rather than lose a few bucks on whatever deal they make to take a car from another dealer's lot. Not cool.

You might want to browse the classifieds of this forum too, since there's a few Boston listings.

Re: Boston-area dealer

Thanks all - this is very helpful!

Two other specific questions - anyone here order from out of state (e.g. Grubbs Infiniti) or buy from Quirk in Braintree?

Thanks again!
