^Theres a few wheel repair places in the city Will, but if you want to get the wheels back in great shape just wait till the season is over and send them out. Theres a few places, one in Maryland that repairs the wheels for 85.00 a rim and they do a good job. I'll look up the information for you and send it to you

I hear you on this one, but I just LOVE having some nice rims. I may just fork over money next year to get my wheels fully repaired...or just sell them this winter. Anyone looking for some SSR SP1 Professors?

Rimpro = A+++

Rim/wheelworks... meh

They redid an alloy for me, and new paint peeled off. They redid it for free tho. Very little work is done in house, no idea what shady deal that guy was giving out there lol

But yeah their techs gave out that vibe to me too. Sad to see them pull that on a nice mom and pop family biz they got.

Exactly what I was thinking...it's a mom and pop shop and these dudes are scamming them out of money that they really need to live on. That's why I didn't go with them. I'll be going to Rim Pro next time.

The girl at the desk didn't even go out to look at my wheels to see how bad they were...she just asked me size of my rim, if it was painted or polished & if it was aftermarket & that was it...I was like "don't you want to take a look at them first"? Then she came out with the shop guy to confirm that the price she printed out was right...kinda back asswards, but whatever.

$320 in total to re-true 2 of my rims...but they make you sign a waiver that you won't hold them responsible if the rim cracks, because sometimes (not often) a rim will crack due to this process...that blows...do I even want to risk it?!!?

Has anyone had rims re-trued before?

www.rimpro.com See if you can go through a shop that uses them regularly....they offer awesome pricing to shops (upwards of $50/wheel off).

Regular finish is $170/rim. Chrome is $275/rim. 2-3 piece wheels are varied. Also depends on damage, etc. I'm not sure how much it is just to get a wheel straightened....that's just for refinishing.
yup they did an excellent job on mine as well!

looks like alot of us are having bad luck with bent wheels.
Maybe we can negotiate a group discount if we all bring our wheels to Rim Pro?
I got (2) 19" x 9.5 that needed to be straighten and possibly 2 refinish.
Anyone else?
