Rim Repair???

Hey, I live in Potomac (right near Rockville) and I was wondering if anyone has had good experiences with rim repair places around here. I don't want to drive too far but I know that our rim paint is hard to match and I want it done 100% right. Anyone in the MD/VA area have any experiences? Thanks!

Re: Rim Repair???

I would check out this place:

Ye Olde Wheel Shop
6363 Washington Blvd.
Elkridge, MD 21227

Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm
Sat: 9am-1pm

410.796.8400
800.526.8260

I've used them in the past for fixing a curb scrape and a bent wheel. They did a good job on my NSX wheels. They will tell you up front if it won't be exact. I think in both cases, it cost under $100 for the repair. (I got them off the NSX and Viper forum). I believe they are a small family owned shop.

They list the following work they perform

Aluminum Wheel Straightening
Painting
High Polishing
Wire Wheel Restoration
Motorcycle Wheel Repair
Weld & Machine for Crack

Re: Rim Repair???

Do you know how long it usually takes them to do this stuff? I would prefer to go there for the day and hang around the area and pick it up later if possible. Ugh, I'm so afraid that it won't look right, and I LOVE the color of our rims when they're clean, I don't want to mess that up. Thanks so much, I'll give them a call tomorrow! Anybody have any more suggestions?
