Good evening guys.

It's already been a year since I posted (as I've only been reading through the forums), and I guess I'll have to ask about inspections again.

I'm soon due to get my car inspected, and I have a quick question regarding vehicle inspections in New Jersey.

I now have a custom-made exhaust system, and I was wondering what would happen if I failed to pass the inspection because of it. It's not too loud, but I'm just having my doubts and am considering taking the car to a local shop that does inspections.

Would it affect me in a way that I should just consider getting the car inspected at a private shop? Or should I just cross my fingers and just take it to the MVC?

If you failed you would just have to fix it and bring it back. I would say just go to a shop and offer the guy some money
