Visiting DC

I'll be visiting DC for the Cherry Blossom festival with couple of the friends. The Hotel we're staying is Renaissance Mayflower & Hilton Inn in DT. As I know event will most likely make the DT very crowded, and lack of parking. Does anyone know where in DT would have public parking near those two hotel and the price?

Thanks!

+1, when i went 4 years ago i kept the car at the hotel. it was easier and maybe cheaper to use the metro/walk or find a taxi.

If you are staying at the renaissance then there is an enormous parking lot there and in front or to the side (depends on where u standing) of the hotel.......it's a lil expensive tho but all the parking is ! lol.

I work in the building with Acadiana in it. Its across from the renaissance.

You will be better off parking your car in the hotel and getting on the train to get around DC. You can get on the train @ Gallery Place (2.5 blocks from the Renaissance) and take it to Smithsonian.....This is the closest stop to The Tidal Basin where the CB Festival is held. It will be close to impossible to drive in that area ESPECIALLY if you not from here and don't know where u going.

Cabs and the Train will be your Friends !!!

U can PM me if u got any questions....I'll help u if I can !

Definitely keep your car at the hotel. You are just a few short blocks walk from Chinatown Metro Station and Metro Center.

I manage a hotel just outside of DC but managed several downtown hotels over the years. Also PM me if you need advice on where to go, what to do etc. I highly recommend the FDR Memorial while you're walking around the Tidal Basin. It's definitely worth your time.

Any suggestions to a GOOD/Famous/Unique restaurant for dinner? Not just my gf and I, but other friends as well.

if you like Indian food, go to Indique Heights. Its one of the best in town.

Seafood, go to Oceanaire; also one of the best in town.
