You get what you pay for is the general rule that I follow. Also, eBay stuff is generally low quality anyway.

You are going to find that all synthetic oils are pretty much the same these days. I am using Castrol Edge 5W-30 and like it so far. I am going to get an analysis done after 6k miles. I was using German Castrol Oil 0W-30 and it actually was found to run a lot thicker than most all 5W-30 oil. It really is up to you. Definitely use synthetic oil. For this area 5W-30 is good for your car. I have 60k on mine and it runs great and heats up in the cold pretty quick. I dont know how much knowledge you have on oil, but there is a sticky on oil on this forum that might be beneficial to you. I know several other guys use Mobil and other types but most are so close there is not that much different in brands. Hope this helps!!

the nissan filter comes with a new oil pan plug gasket, others will not though it is not needed

I've taken plenty of Nissan engines apart and found that even with conventional oil changed on a regular basis the engines are clean inside. Even after 200k miles. That being said I still use Mobil 1 synthetic in my own cars. Might be a good idea for yuze gize(like the Jersey phrase) to run synthetic since the VQs are know for high oil temps.

Ryan,
Sorry I didn't have time to speak to you about the spacer you bought. That day turned a little hectic and I didn't see your posts until recently. I believe the purpose of the locktite is to seal the threads of the 6 center bolts where they go thru the plenum. The factory uses the gasket but since you use the spacers on those bolts they don't compress the gasket properly. I don't think this would be a significant vacuum leak if you didn't seal them but some of our A/F ratio sensors can be a little sensitive. Sorry to be so long winded.

Ok so 2nd time I've seen this G around, it appears to be a pre 05 OB coupe, clear corners VA plates read XTY-1741. 1st time was at bar down here by me 2nd time today was about 845 in I95 just before the Chippenham exit. Stock rims and clear corners, trunk is debadged with 350GT emblems on it ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TRUNK???? Let me know if you any of you know who this is.
