here is another relatively new NJ owner checking in. I bought the car in October and am starting to save up money for mods. its a 6mt 2004 IP coupe with black interior. my first mod will be upgrading to the 06-07 projector headlights. then, i'll put on a tommy kaira shift **** for better shifting. after about 5-6 months of saving, i will look to go FI. i'm most likely going to go with a stillen stage 3, because i like the idea of having more power at lower RPMs. can somebody recommend a very good performance shop for FI? i'm located in the brick/toms river area. thank you, and it's great to meet all of you on the forum.

here's a picture of the car from the person i bought it from. (although i rebadged the back after buying it)

My boy from new york just told me that theres a place in Toms river ill get the name from him. He gets his mustang tuned pushing over 500 to the wheels. They specialize in imports if i remember correctly.

Dont go stillen either if you can help it. I have driven in a 350 and they dont feel like they have any nuts at all.

i really appreciate the post, thank you! that would be great if you could find the name of that place. i noticed you said you were moving to the toms river area, that's great! i love toms river, i have lived here for 20 years, it's a great town. if you need any help at all with this area, don't hesitate to ask, i will do my best to help.

thank you for the input on the stillen. the reason i am leaning towards stillen is because i am not really looking for a titanic amount of HP to take to the track. i am looking for something more practical that is safer on my engine geared towards faster acceleration on the street. i would take it to the track occasionally, but not all that often. from what i have researched on the forum (correct me if my info was wrong), vortech has greater top end speed but it really doesn't kick in until around 4000 rpms while stillen has better kick at a lower RPM. this is what made stillen attractive to me. i am very new to this kind of stuff though, so i have to rely on what i read on the forum and my info might not be entirely accurate.

what do you recommend instead of the stillen? i really appreciate all the help i get here, you guys are awesome

Yup thats the place lol. The vortech is superior in all aspects. Its upto you though. I just was not impressed with the stillen. I think the guy was putting around 315 to the wheels with his and it was actually a 3.

I know the area very well my grandparents live in lanoka harbor just down the street. Looking to get a house and found some nice ones just need it closer to when i get there.
