bbq would be nice but it is a lot of work and if it rains than that idea is gone.

 

I say we stick with the original plan, a meet at 11AM followed by lunch or a drive or both. It's too early to tell now what the weather is and if we plan for a BBQ now and the weather sucks we'll be changing plans again. If we solidify plans now then it'll be easier for people to plan ahead. If we change them again later than people will start dropping out again. My vote is to leave it as is...if Jimmy, Troy, or anyone else has a SERIOUS problem with this then chime in...otherwise I vote for what I previously posted.

And for the record Troy, I would send out an e-mail if everyone could come to a relative consensus on what we're going to do but as you can read people still want to alter the plans. Can't send out an e-mail if I have to change it the next day.

Ok, here's what i think you should do for an e-mail, so people don't recieve an e-mail so late.
Send out an e-mail telling of our plan so far:
Meet at starbucks at 11AM on sunday the 19th in rockville.

Then include that some people want to go for a drive after the meet (I know I want to drive, and i think Jimmy and Chris want to go also). I think this basically means there will be a drive anyways and people can come join us or not, whatever they like. So if they feel like joining, the should bring the appropriate gear (radio, drink, etc.).

and tell them to take 2 min out of their schedule to click and sign up so we can get a feeling of what's going on. I'm pretty sure if Jae and Chris says there will be some Z's joining for the meet/drive, then that's a good number.

Anyways, this is my .02 rather than just talking on this forum, we should contact people so they might have some insight as to what's going on. I'm sure there are some members of the Capital G club who don't check the forums as often as us, so a nice e-mail might spark some interest in a drive, rather than wait for them to respond to the forums.

P.S. don't forget to tell them they can catch all the replays on ESPN, or maybe if we're out long enough we can always stop off at a bar or someplace to watch a game together.

Sign up. I think if more people go for a drive, then other will feel more inclined to drive as well.
It's kinda like when back in the 80's, when the first person started wearing tight jeans, people thought it was stupid, but then 3 or 4 other people started wearing them and everyone thought it was cool so they did it also.

Seems as if Hurricane Ivan might come wreck havoc on us this weekend so if this happens (meaning rain or slippery conditions) then the meet will be rescheduled for the following Sunday, which is the 26th.
