Help Hit a sewer system in NJ

Make long story short. I live around Lawrenceville NJ. I was driving fast and saw a cop coming in another direction. I think he saw me so I made a quick turn into one of the street. Which end up to be a mess up road. There was a sewer system( the big circle black thing on the road?) sticking out somewhere around 5 inches. I hit it somewhere under the car and it was a loud hit. I have to stop and check on the car. After a minute or so, the cop found me. I told him that I hit something when I went away from him. But he was the coolest cop I ever ran into. Not only he did not gave me a ticket, he helped to check underneath the car.

Here is the problem, I can't see any damage under the car(without lifting the car) but the steering wheel is way off when it go straight. Where should I get my car check? Can I go to places like Midas or Firestone? I dont want the dealership ripping me off. I live in Lawrenceville NJ.
Thanks

odds are you knocked your car out of alignment. Also check to see if the wheel is bent and that all of the suspension components are ok. Take pictures of the sewer cap, and have the city pay for the damage. Any wheel alignment place can check the car for you.

With these cars, its usually beyond wheel alignments. I'm guessing with a piece of metal like that and with some speed, you bent a control arm or something. Get it to infiniti and plead ignorance. Let them tell you what's wrong.
