Potential Buyer - G35

Potential Buyer - G35
I am looking to purchase a G35 Sedan with rear wheel drive here in Cleveland, OH. I am pumped to get this car, but have recently heard 2 stories of bad performance in snow conditions. The word is that it doesn't get much grip in the winter and has a high tendency to "slip" in the winter. Has anyone else had this experience?

As with any rear wheel drive car, it will be more difficult to get around in the winter than any FWD/AWD cars. Here are a few suggestions for you:
1) Get a G35x! AWD when you need it!
2) Get dedicated winter tires. These will get you around town with no problems. Just make sure you take them off before spring hits so you can get your "fun" back.![Wink](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
3) Get all-season tires. These, depending on the brand, will help you get through light amounts of snow. If you guys get heavy snowfalls, then I wouldn't suggest them but seeing that you live in Ohio, it should be okay.
Good luck on finding a G35 that's right for you!

Re: Potential Buyer - G35
irboykin: The Stock Coupe tires are not going anywhere in the winter. However, do what most people do... just get dedicated winter tire setup (~$1200 from tirerack). Your car will do fine. Or you can just get the G35x... .
Why a Sedan? You can have soooooo much more fun in a 6MT Coupe... hehe
